Banda Aceh, April 15, 2026 – The Bachelor’s Program in Physics, Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Syiah Kuala University, officially welcomed a team of assessors from the Independent Accreditation Agency for Natural Sciences and Formal Sciences (LAMSAMA) as part of an on-site accreditation assessment agenda.

The assessors, Mitrayana and Mohammad Taufik, arrived on campus and were warmly received by university leaders, faculty members, and the academic community. Their visit marks an important step in ensuring the continuous improvement of academic quality and institutional standards within the Physics Study Program.

In his welcoming remarks, Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Ir. Agussabti, M.Si., IPU., expressed sincere appreciation for the presence of the assessors. He emphasized the importance of this evaluation process as part of the university’s commitment to maintaining and enhancing the quality of higher education. He also conveyed optimism that the assessment would run smoothly and provide constructive recommendations for future development.

The assessment activities were scheduled to take place over two days, from April 13 to April 14, 2026. During this period, the Department of Physics demonstrated its readiness by providing comprehensive data, supporting documents, and necessary facilities to facilitate a transparent and objective evaluation process.

This accreditation assessment reflects the department’s ongoing commitment to quality assurance, academic excellence, and alignment with national higher education standards. It also serves as a strategic opportunity to strengthen institutional performance and reinforce its role in advancing science and education in Indonesia.

The Department of Physics, FMIPA USK, hopes that this visit will not only yield optimal accreditation results but also foster stronger collaboration and contribute meaningfully to the continuous development of higher education quality at both institutional and national levels.
