Zulfalina, S.Si, M.Si

Zulfalina, S.Si., M.Si., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), with research interests in material physics and composite materials. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) and her Master’s degree in Physics from Universitas Indonesia (UI), and has served as Head of the Thermodynamic Laboratory in the Physics Department (2018-2021). Her recent work includes collaborative research on typical dose analysis for 128-slice CT scans at RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh, the development of biocomposites from agricultural and marine waste (such as sugarcane bagasse and shell-derived hydroxyapatite), and studies on the physical and mechanical properties of bio-composites and traditional NaCl-based materials for energy storage applications. She is a co-inventor of a simple patent on the production process of NaOH-treated oil palm empty fruit bunch-epoxy high-loaded biocomposites and has published widely on hydroxyapatite synthesis, corrosion inhibition, crystallite characterization, and local mineral utilization. A member of the Physical Society of Indonesia (PSI), she teaches in the Bachelor’s program in Physics at USK.
