Prof. Dr. Nazli, S.Si,M.Si
Professor Dr. Nazli, S.Si., M.Si., is a Professor of Geophysics at the Department of Physics, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Indonesia. He earned his Ph.D. in Geophysics from Uppsala University, Sweden, and holds a Master’s from Universitas Gadjah Mada and a Bachelor's in Physics from USK. His research focuses on geophysical methods like electromagnetics, magnetic, and gravity for subsurface exploration, environmental studies, geothermal assessment, and geohazards. Recent projects include paleotsunami reconstruction, virtual reality for cultural heritage, and coastal mitigation analysis, collaborating with institutions such as the Earth Observatory of Singapore, Adam Mickiewicz University, and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. He has served as Head of the Graduate Program in Disaster Science (2016–2022) and Head of the Physics Department (2011–2015). His work includes peer-reviewed publications, research grants, and a registered copyright on disaster management in Aceh. Professor Nazli is a member of PSI, SEG, and HAGI, teaching in Physics programs and advancing research in geophysics and disaster mitigation in Indonesia.
