Fashbir, S.T, M.S.

Fashbir, S.T., M.S., is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), with research interests in electronics and instrumentation and medical physics. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, USA. Since joining USK in 2006, he has served as Head of the Electronics and Instrumentation Laboratory and has been actively involved in research on the measurement and identification of brain wave activity using electroencephalography (EEG) in collaboration with regional hospitals in Banda Aceh. His publications span remote STEM-based physics practicum using Node.js, verification of modal summation techniques for synthetic and observed seismograms, applications of the VLF-EM method for rapid fault identification, piezoelectric-based power generation, and thermal reactor core simulations. Fashbir is a member of the Physical Society of Indonesia (PSI) and teaches in the Bachelor’s program in Physics at USK.
