Edwar Iswardy, S.Si,M.Si.,Ph.D

Edwar Iswardy, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), with research interests in instrumentation and electronics and biomedical engineering. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physics from USK, a Master’s degree in Physics from Universitas Indonesia, and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan. He has served as Coordinator of Student Affairs and previously as Secretary of the Physics Department, and has held research positions at the Biosensor Laboratory, Institute of Biomedical Engineering, NCKU. His recent projects focus on IoT-based STEM learning using the IMAGy device, downstreaming and commercialization of IMAGy-based experimental tools, polymer microspheres for biosensor matrices, smartphone-sensor–based STEM applications, and 3D geometric measurement of bone models using reverse engineering. He collaborates with partners in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Taiwan, holds intellectual property on an NPK, soil moisture and acidity measuring device and STEM-based learning modules, and has published on dielectrophoresis, digital image correlation for biomechanical applications, and medical image analysis. He is a member of the Physical Society of Indonesia (PSI), APDOVI, and Phi Tau Phi Taiwan Chapter, and teaches in both the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Physics at USK.
