Field of Study: Electronic Instrumentation Dr. Saumi Syahreza is a remote sensing and geospatial scientist who specializes in disaster mitigation, climate hazards, and environmental monitoring. He earned his Ph.D. from Universiti Sains Malaysia and has held major academic and leadership roles at Universitas Syiah Kuala. He has also led national research projects on flood and drought resilience, machine-learning rainfall prediction, and geospatial risk modeling. His work supports government disaster management policies, and he has produced influential publications and patented geospatial systems. Dr. Syahreza is also an active member of professional scientific societies and teaches remote sensing and GIS at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
