Dr. Bukhari, S.Si., M.T., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), with research interests in optics and spectroscopy and their applications in near-surface geophysics and geohazards. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physics from USK, a Master’s degree (M.Si) in Physics from Universitas Indonesia (UI), and a Doctoral degree from the Mathematics and Applied Science Department of USK. He has served as Secretary of the Physics Department and currently heads the Optics, Spectroscopy, and Waves Laboratory. His recent work includes integrated geophysical applications for mapping slip surfaces to mitigate landslide hazards along the Banda Aceh-Calang road corridor, supported by collaborations with PT PELINDO, PT Bangun Solusi Andalas, and Kyoto University. He has published on electrical resistivity tomography, induced polarization, VLF-EM methods for landslide-prone archaeological sites, gravity data processing using polynomial filters, and physical modeling of discontinuity responses in landslide studies. Dr. Bukhari is a member of the Physical Society of Indonesia (PSI) and teaches in the Bachelor’s program in Physics at USK.
