Husna Ajrina, an alumna of the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Syiah Kuala University (USK), Class of 2017, completed her bachelor’s degree in 2022. Following her graduation, she pursued a master’s degree in Physics at Gadjah Mada University (UGM), specializing in Materials Physics.

Through her participation in an internship and pre-screening program organized by the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Husna successfully earned a recommendation to receive the prestigious MEXT (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship under the University-to-University (U-to-U) scheme to continue her doctoral studies.

In October 2026, she will begin her Ph.D. journey at the Quantum Photo-Science Laboratory, Division of Materials Science, NAIST, Japan, where she will conduct research in advanced materials science.
