Banda Aceh, 12 March 2026 – The Physics Student Association (HIMAFIS) of the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Syiah Kuala (FMIPA USK), successfully organized the HIMAFIS Berbuka (Iftar Gathering) on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the FMIPA USK Hall. The event served as a meaningful occasion to strengthen bonds and enhance spiritual values during the holy month of Ramadan.
Carrying the theme “Strengthening Ukhuwah through Togetherness and Reinforcing Faith in the Holy Month of Ramadan,” the event was attended by lecturers, administrative staff, and students of the Physics Department.
The program began with an Islamic lecture delivered by Dr. Suhrawardi Ilyas, S.Si, M.Sc, emphasizing the importance of maintaining faith and nurturing togetherness in both academic and social life. Participants attentively followed the session, creating a reflective and solemn atmosphere.
Beyond the lecture, the event also functioned as a platform for interaction among students across different academic years, as well as between students and faculty members, fostering a sense of unity and belonging. As the time for breaking the fast approached, participants gathered to enjoy the prepared meals. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and camaraderie as lecturers and students sat together, sharing food and conversations.
This moment highlighted not only the act of breaking the fast but also the spirit of togetherness that defines the Physics Department community.
The event concluded with a group photo session involving all participants, symbolizing unity and solidarity within the Physics Department of FMIPA USK.
The HIMAFIS Iftar Gathering is expected to become an annual tradition that continues to strengthen relationships among students, alumni, lecturers, and staff. Moreover, it serves as an important initiative in fostering spiritual development alongside academic excellence.
