Banda Aceh, February 19, 2025 – The Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Syiah Kuala University (USK) held an information session on the Student Creativity Program (PKM) on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. The event took place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the USK FMIPA Mini Theater and was attended by all physics students. The session aimed to provide a deeper understanding of the PKM and encourage students to actively participate in the program.

The event was officially opened by the Head of the Department of Physics at FMIPA USK, Dr. Saumi Syahreza, S.Si., M.Si., who in his remarks emphasized the importance of creativity and innovation in the advancement of science. He also encouraged students to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the PKM to enhance their academic competencies and research skills.

The keynote speaker for this session was Said Ali Akbar, S.Pd., M.Si., a lecturer from the Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Marine Sciences and Fisheries (FKP) at USK. In his presentation, he explained the various PKM schemes, the stages of proposal development, and strategies to increase the chances of being selected for the program. As the moderator for this event, Anla Fet Hardi, S.Si., M.Si., skillfully guided the discussion, ensuring that participants could effectively grasp every point presented.
The attending students showed high enthusiasm by asking various questions regarding proposal preparation and innovation strategies in research. It is hoped that through this outreach, USK FMIPA physics students will be further motivated to participate in the PKM and contribute to the development of science and technology through their creative ideas.
