The Physics Student Association (HIMAFIS) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Syiah Kuala (FMIPA USK), organized a Technical Guidance (Bimtek) session on the Student Creativity Program (PKM) as part of its organizational work program to strengthen students’ academic capacity and creativity. The event was enthusiastically attended by Physics students, who filled the lecture hall to gain deeper insights into developing high-quality, competitive PKM proposals.

The session was moderated by Mr. Anla Fet Hardi, S.Si., M.Si., who guided the discussion in an engaging and interactive manner. The keynote speaker, Mr. Said Ali Akbar, S.Pd., M.Si., delivered a comprehensive presentation on effective strategies for preparing competitive PKM proposals. In his talk, he emphasized the importance of originality in ideas, a strong and well-structured background, and clear, measurable research methodologies aligned with current societal issues.
Throughout the session, students actively participated in discussions and a question-and-answer segment. Participants raised various questions regarding the selection of appropriate PKM schemes, effective proposal writing techniques, and strategies to secure funding. This active engagement reflected the students’ strong interest in PKM as a platform for academic development and innovation.

Through this HIMAFIS initiative, it is expected that students of the Physics Department at FMIPA USK will be better prepared to produce high-quality PKM proposals and compete at the national level. The activity also highlights the vital role of student organizations in fostering academic excellence, creativity, and research-driven innovation within the university environment.
