Field of Study: Theoretical and Computational Physics

T. Khairuman, S.Si,M.Si

Teuku Khairuman, S.Si., M.Si., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), with research interests in computational physics and artificial intelligence. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physics from USK and his Master’s degree in Physics from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). His scholarly work spans thermophysical property reference data for water, remote sensing and GIS applications for seagrass distribution and aquaculture site suitability, numerical modeling of bichromatic wave propagation based on the Korteweg–de Vries equations, 1-D gravity data inversion using singular value decomposition, and modifications of shallow-water wave equations via asymptotic expansion methods. He has also contributed to the discretization of boundary integral equations and simulations of strong ground motion using empirical Green’s functions. A member of the Physical Society of Indonesia (PSI), Teuku Khairuman previously served as Head of the Electronics and Instrumentation Laboratory and currently teaches in the Bachelor’s program in Physics at USK.
